Business Incubators:

Pursuant to the keen aspiration of the IBWC to enhance the role of women in the private sector which is one of IBWC strategic plan priorities and as interpretation of IBWC vision aiming at embracing small female investors and entrepreneurs and providing them with a stimulating environment for innovation and creativity in the world of business.
Business incubators have emerged as catalysts for creativity, innovation, and a promising future for aspiring entrepreneurs. These incubators provide a nurturing environment that fosters the development of groundbreaking ideas and novel solutions. By offering mentorship, resources, and networking opportunities, they empower entrepreneurs to transform their visions into successful businesses. Business incubators play a vital role in supporting startups, providing the necessary guidance and support to navigate the challenges of the business landscape. There are different types of business incubators tailored to the specific needs and goals of entrepreneurs. Incubator's Objectives

  • To give advice, guidance and assistance in the preparation of projects’ feasibility studies.
  • To Prepare studies and research in cooperation with universities and to employ them in upgrading projects.
  • To provide new jobs for female entrepreneurs and small investors in order to work in the private sector.
  • To nurture young people’s skills, opening up new investment-related horizons for them and adopting innovative and creative projects.
  • To prepare, qualify, train and foster the skills of young female investors and entrepreneurs and to enable them to run their own businesses efficiently and effectively.
  • To enable women to identify their latent creative potential and abilities and to translate their ideas into productive projects and superior services.
  • To provide an innovation-motivating environment and to introduce new methods of providing services, nurturing the economy and enhancing competitiveness in the business sector.
  • To provide an integrated package of technical support, back-up and consultancy services to upgrade projects, raise their growth rates and improve their economic efficiency.
  • To help provide necessary finance for starting a business via networking with banks, funds and financing corporations
  • To support innovative ambitious initiatives and ideas; to provide a i proper business environment for them during the early years of the
    project’s life and to expand their windows of success and sustainability.
  • To make available a database in support of those associated with the incubator, urging them to provide investment ideas and opportunities, in addition to data reinforcing the development and sustainability of their projects.

Conditions for joining the incubator

  • To be an Iraqi citizen
  • To have reached the age 18 years.

Iraqi Women Entrepreneurs Club "Sama"

Pursuant to the keen aspirations of the Iraqi Businesswomen Council to raise the role of women in the private sector, aiming at providing an encouraging and safe working environment to embrace and develop the work of female entrepreneurs stimulate them for innovation and creativity in the world of business. Hence came the need to establish the Women’s Entrepreneur Club, The Umbrella under which sponsorship, support and assistance are provided for initiatives and innovative projects to support women’s work in various fields.
Goals
  • Working under the supervision of experienced businesswomen, who provide advice and support to the network of business incubators and young female entrepreneurs.
  • Achieving one of the most important objectives of the IBWC strategies, to develop and support the work of women and direct it towards innovation and creativity.
  • Provide an easy-to-access platform for women who have distinguished ideas and share experiences. Exchanging knowledge and experiences to apply them in project management and application.
  • Strengthening channels of communication and communication between female entrepreneurs and students of colleges and universities and organizing brainstorming sessions on available investment opportunities, initiatives and support offered by various parties.
  • Continuous communication with local, regional and international support agencies in order to develop a friendly business environment and find positive solutions to the challenges faced by women entrepreneurs in the Iraqi environment.
  • Organizing periodic meetings for club members to discuss and discuss priority issues on the economic scene and in various fields.
  • Conducting competitions to find solutions for sustainable development and honoring innovators.
  • Achieving strategic visions and plans to create a strong, solid, diversified and sustainable non-rentier economy based on non-oil revenues
  • Encouraging electronic transformation, developing the technological environment, enabling innovation and creativity, and adopting an open market economy policy.

Strategic program number 1

Supporting & encouraging women working from home & financing them in the economy

The program aims to provide a business incubator that provides supportive programs and a set of solutions to build the capabilities of businesswomen within home licenses, and to provide them with professional, administrative, technological and marketing skills that enable them to develop and expand their businesses on their way to establishing their own company. And creating markets to facilitate the marketing of council members for their products to enhance the growth opportunities of their business The initiative also aims to create a platform to promote the products of businesswomen who own home licenses or small or medium businesses to market their products in safe ways, as well as to establish channels and posts to sell their products.

Strategic program number 2

Increasing entrepreneurial thinking among female university students and graduates

The initiative aims to introduce students to the foundations of establishing their own businesses and teach them what universities do not know about money, work in the private sector, and growth according to developments in the Fourth Industrial Renaissance to reduce unemployment and change the societal culture that relies on the government appointment system as a basis for professional earning. By allocating a special part of the platform for female students, as well as holding training courses and educational seminars in partnership with universities and institutes to encourage female students to take a leading role in their future orientation.
