Established on October 17, 2021, by Resolution No. 28 of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce Council, the Iraq Businesswomen Council aims to highlight the crucial role of women as strategic partners in the development and growth of a robust economy. The council recognizes the significance of women’s leadership in the private sector and extends its support to businesswomen at every stage of their projects. By promoting a culture of entrepreneurship and women-led initiatives, the council is dedicated to enhancing women’s participation in the economic sector. Through various initiatives, such as providing consultancy, skill development, and access to business incubators, the council strives to empower women, enabling them to play an active role in society. Moreover, the council facilitates partnerships with government institutions, local and international organizations, creating opportunities for businesswomen to showcase their projects on both local and global economic platforms.
